Race across America team finishes

The Data Techniques sponsored Team Feat cycling team have today completed their epic Race Across America (RAAM) in an unbelievable time. They have covered 2989 miles in just 5 days 13 hours and 29 minutes!! The team finished around lunchtime today in Annapolis, Maryland having set off on Saturday from Oceanside, California, taking second place in their team category. The route takes in some of the most spectacular scenery in the USA and had to be diverted at one point due to the recent flooding of the Mississippi river. Data Techniques congratulate the team and hope they enjoy a well earned rest for the next few days.

TEAM FEAT progress RAAM - 22 June 2011Having started the race on Saturday 18th June the Data Techniques sponsored Team Feat RAAM cycling squad are less than 800 miles from the finish line have ridden 2195 miles in just 4 days! The team are currently placed 2nd and very much in touch with the leading team who are just 30 minutes ahead on the road. Race across America – Team Feat

Data Techniques are proud to sponsor the Team Feat–Race across America cycling team, who set off on their epic 3000 mile adventure on Saturday June 18th from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland. The team including Nick Crosby, Divisional Manager for Data Techniques, James Gilfillan, Wayne Smith and Ian Patterson have been training hard for this event and are confident of a good result when they finish the race on 24th June.

The team also includes 10 support crew who will support the team, including Mick Stephens, Telecoms Divisional Manager at Data Techniques, and 9 other support crew including 2 physiotherapists and a bike mechanic, who will be there to ensure the riders stay fit and healthy during the 6 day endurance race.

The race cross some spectacular scenery, including the Rocky mountains, desert and plains, which will mean riding in a wide variety of conditions throughout the journey. We will be bringing you updates of the progress of the team during the race and wish them every success with the challenge.
